Supporting ASiT Severn’s Foundation Surgical Skills Course

Cambridge Surgical Models recently supported the Association of Surgeons in Training (ASiT UK) in the Severn Region, for a Foundational Surgical Skills Course. Led by General Surgeon Mr Sailesh Partheeban, course delegates used Cambridge Surgical Models’ next-generation Fascia Skin Pads, allowing trainees to practice both midline linea-alba closure and skin closure techniques.

Attendees were closely taught and guided by expert faculty members throughout the course which covered open and laparoscopic surgical methods, ensuring an immersive and supportive surgical training environment. The course provided trainees with the opportunity to develop and practise essential surgical skills using high-fidelity surgical simulation models from Cambridge Surgical Models.

With a majority proportion of attendees rating Cambridge Surgical Models’ Fascia Skin Pads as perfect (10/10!), the course highlighted how high-fidelity surgical training outside the operating theatre is possible with sustainable and non-hazardous materials that do not involve animal meat or landfill production.

Cambridge Surgical Models are proud to support surgeons of the future with their next-generation surgical training tools and simulation models and are even more proud to continue our support for the Association of Surgeons in Training (ASiT UK) in their mission to promote the highest standards in surgical training.
