CSM x Black Budding Dentists - Inaugural National Conference
Cambridge Surgical Models are proud to have supported the Black Budding Dentists’ inaugural conference in July, the ‘Specialities in Dentistry Conference’, held at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in London. With over 100 dentists and students attending, aspiring dental students heard from distinguished dental specialists and registrars, learning more about various dental subspecialities including oral and maxillofacial surgery, endodontics, and dental public health.
CSM supported students with our next-generation skin pads, which were used to develop and consolidate essential suturing and wound closure skills, led by Dr Sunkanmi Oladeji, a highly esteemed dental surgeon. Our much-loved compact suture pads were ideal for the hands-on dental simulation training workshop, offering high fidelity, portability, and ease of use. Available in a range of skin tones, CSM’s skin pads allow dental students and trainees to practise suturing skills in ways that reflect the diversity of patients they will encounter as future practitioners.
Supporting the Black Budding Dentists organisation has been a great privilege for CSM. As we broaden our support to provide high-fidelity simulation training tools to dental students, alongside our existing medical and surgical users, we remain excited to deliver our mission to improve the lives of patients through better out-of-theatre training.
By supporting practical, accessible dental simulation training, CSM is helping the next generation of dental professionals build confidence and develop essential clinical skills before treating patients.
