Cambridge Surgical Models at Imperial College London

In February 2026, Cambridge Surgical Models were proud to support Imperial College London School of Medicine’s (ICSM) Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Society as well as their wider Surgical Society, at their annual National Plastics Conference.

Students took part in various practical plastic-surgery themed workshops, with Cambridge Surgical Models supporting suturing and wound closure skills with our Next-Generation Skin Pads. Our Skin Pads were greatly revered by students attending the conference from across the UK, and our CTO Dr Senthooran, assisted the faculty in the supervising and teaching students.

Of excitement was the launch of our Compact Skin Pad range, which was designed with portability, fidelity, and practicality in mind, for students and trainees that want to practice their wound closure skills on the go. With very positive reflections from facilitators and stellar feedback from students on how our skin pads performed during suturing, particularly for subcuticular suturing, the event was a great success.
