Cambridge Surgical Models at RCS (England) Future of Surgery Festival 2026

In April, CEO Dr Mark Golab and CTO Dr Senthooran Kathiravelupillai were exhibiting Cambridge Surgical Models (CSM) and their next-generation surgical training tools, at the 2026 Royal College of Surgeons (England) Future of Surgery Festival.

Held in the International Convention Centre, Birmingham, hundreds of medical students, training surgeons and consultant surgeons from the UK and abroad, convened to learn, present work and discuss what the future of surgery looks like.

The CSM team showcased their popular next-generation skin pads, but also ran a successful wound closure workshop in the Professional Development Hub. Foundation doctors and early-stage surgical trainees were taught and diligently practised more advanced suturing skills, including mattress and sub-cuticular suturing.

Over the past year it has been good to see how CSM’s products are increasingly trusted to be reliable high-fidelity surgical tools, that can aid students and surgeons in training of all skill levels.
