CSM at UCL Surgical Society’s International Undergraduate Surgical Conference

In March 2025, Cambridge Surgical Models were proud to support University College London (UCL) Surgical Society’s International Undergraduate Surgical Conference. Hosted at the Institute of Global Health next to Great Ormond Street Hospital, the team at Cambridge Surgical Models equipped the international conference with our Next-Generation Skin Pads.

With delegates from multiple European countries, students had the opportunity to work through various suturing techniques, with teaching from UCL faculty as well as guest clinical facilitators. Cambridge Surgical Models’ Skin Pads have multiple layers, reflecting the various abdominal wall layers, allowing students to understand the importance of skin handling, needle placement, needle depth and angle, as well as tension control.

The feedback we received on the Skin Pads’ feel and fidelity was excellent, and we were happy to have supported close to 100 students in their wound closure learning process.
