CSM Co-Founders selected as NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Fellows

Cambridge Surgical Models (CSM) is excited to share that two of its Co-Founders, Dr Mark Golab and Dr Senthooran Kathiravelupillai, have been selected to join the highly competitive NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme as members of Cohort 9.

The NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme is designed to empower healthcare professionals with the knowledge, commercial skills, mentoring, and networks needed to develop and integrate impactful medical innovations into the NHS and the wider healthcare sector. By supporting the next generation of healthcare entrepreneurs, the programme plays a key role in accelerating innovation that benefits both clinicians and patients.

Through a series of expert talks, workshops, and interactive sessions covering entrepreneurship, business development, leadership, and healthcare innovation, the programme helps remove barriers between industry, regulators, and the NHS, enabling innovative medical technologies and solutions to reach frontline healthcare more quickly.

With Dr Mark's experience in medical device design and engineering, alongside Dr Senthooran's expertise as a practising doctor and engineer, the programme has provided an invaluable opportunity to further develop the skills needed to grow Cambridge Surgical Models and advance high-fidelity surgical simulation. Participating in the programme at this early stage of their professional careers has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and the CSM team is grateful to the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme for the guidance, mentorship, and support provided throughout.
